San Antonio Village North is a 1.8 million square foot mixed use development in Mountain View, California. The redevelopment of a prior Sears-anchored big box center integrates office, retail, restaurant, hotel, and cinema uses into a dynamic new hub for residents and businesses in Silicon Valley.
One of the prior buildings on the site was home to the Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory, which was the first semiconductor-related business in California, leading to the eventual boom of what is now called “Silicon Valley”. This significant history is celebrated throughout the site by art monuments and information plaques, as well as by the new tech companies who occupy the innovative office space.
As Director of Development at Merlone Geier Partners William Jencks oversaw the design and development of this project from concept through entitlements and start of construction. The project completed construction in 2018.
