30th Street Corner Retail Renovation

June 21, 2013 by William Jencks

Project Summary ::

This was is a small retail project on 30th street, in the heart of the microbrew retail cooridor in San Diego. The owners of an existing 1,055 SF pharmacy (which had been built circa 1950 as a single family residence) wanted to turn the existing space into a vibrant retail space, worthy of it’s fantastic retail location. Design goals included activating the street front, and opening the facade to allow and “indoor/outdoor” experience, taking advantage of the San Diego sunshine. William Jencks STUDIO provided an existing property survey and prepared the proposed design (below) allowing the owners to successfully market the property, which sold to a new retail owner/occupant within 2 weeks.
