2008 competition | WJS Project Role: Designer &
Competition Team Leader
Vivo Tower won the award for "Best Architectural Design" in the 2008 Bank
of America Low Income Housing Competition. William Jencks led the 15 person interdisciplinary team
from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and served as lead architectural designer for the project.
The Cal Poly team worked with San Diego Developer Barone Galasso and the
CCDC Downtown Education Taskforce to develop a sustainable solution to a blighted block in downtown
San Diego.
